This move has allowed them to cut their annual plastic consumption by 2,500 tonnes, directly addressing the plastic issue at its source.
Bremworth has since focused entirely on New Zealand wool, a material they consider the gold standard for design, performance, and sustainability. Wool not only supports a more eco-friendly future, but its natural properties make it perfect for creating durable, long-lasting products. Bremworth is also pushing the envelope on circularity, working towards 100% compostable carpets by researching alternatives to the last remaining synthetic components.
The wool they use is 100% grown in New Zealand, where the clean environment allows sheep to produce exceptionally white fibres. This purity is essential for achieving vibrant, clear colours in their final products. Getting the wool specification just right ensures their carpets are soft to the touch, high-performing underfoot, and durable—without the risk of excessive fluffing or pilling.
Bremworth is also finding innovative ways to give waste wool carpets a second life by turning them into recycled carpet underlay. This commitment ensures that materials are sustainably sourced and can return to the earth at the end of their life cycle.
